Elizabeth Borg, Director, Community Learning Partnership, Family and Adult Learning Provider
Do you know, it’s made a huge difference to our thinking working with Marvellous Minds. We first came across them as part of a quality improvement project in 2005 and they helped us to take a much more strategic approach to our work. They gave us business planning tools and coaching support to really make us think about what we were doing and where we wanted to go. Since then, we’ve become involved in much more high profile contracts and have gained confidence in the skills and expertise that we can share with others. We’ve been involved in national research projects, tendered for multiple contracts that have broadened our client base and become much more structured in our business planning. It was great to work with people who ‘got us’ and didn’t try to make us fit in with the mainstream ways of doing things.

Peter Jenkins, Staff Development Manager
We needed something that would make a difference now but then be useful in the future. The Performance Management course did exactly that. We got practical ideas for the problems we’ve got right now but we also found out how to change things for the future.

NTN staff were involved in the Organisational Health Check led by Bev Morris. Bev and the team very quickly (and sensitively) got to grips with NTN’s position and made recommendations which were taken forward. As a result of this important work (which was supported by LSIS), NTN has invited Bev to facilitate the Board Away Day on 14th February 2013. “I would have no hesitation in recommending Bev Morris to any organisation.”

Sue, Vice Principal, Quality and Curriculum
Before you move forward, you need to understand where you’re starting from, have some sort of measure. Marvellous Minds helped us to design a competency framework that we could use with individuals and across the whole organisation. They also helped us to see what needed to change and how we could do that.

Carmelo, Manager, Byrver Carpets Ltd
We’re an efficient company so I was surprised how much LEAN techniques helped. Having someone bringing a different, structured perspective helps you to see things more clearly.

Fi, Purple Rose Thinking
I’ve wanted to get a qualification for ages but never found one that suited me. Doing this course meant that all my existing knowledge and skills were recognised and then I gained a lot more insight and had guided practise so that I could really feel confident in my role.

Christine, Project Manager
We needed to bring in new funding streams and to promote the work that we'd already done with lottery funding. The team at Marvellous Minds helped us to develop case studies, to write up evaluative reports and to write a funding application that showed our strengths as well as our ideas. We were awarded a substantial amount of money for our new project and we now use the writing techniques we learned with Marvellous Minds to promote all our work

Alan Gildersleve, Chief Executive, Bedford Training Group, Engineering and Construction Apprenticeship Provider
We’ve worked with Marvellous Minds for five years now and have really valued the wide range of support they’ve been able to offer us. This has included Training Needs Analysis with all our teaching staff, mentoring for our senior managers, development of strategic plans, dyslexia training, an Organisational Health Check to audit the quality of our courses and services and support to secure national contracts. I think it’s the flexibility and responsiveness that we’ve found most helpful. If we’ve got something we need to focus on, really focus on, Marvellous Minds can provide the expertise we need to analyse the problem and develop solutions that meet our particular needs. From the Board Room to the shop floor, we’ve seen a real difference in the way we work and that’s just what we asked for.
